When the weather outside is too cold...

I brought out my Cricut yesterday...my heat press adds a little extra warmth to my craft space.  I had fun with these projects and more that I cannot show quite yet...

New Pillow Covers ~

It was a chilly day outside yesterday - a high of 8 degrees.  I decided to heat things up with my heat press and make some new pillows.  I may have shown off my Minnesotan roots.

A Variety Of Cricut Pillows ~

So I spent last weekend making pillows using my Cricut.  It was too hot and humid to be outside so it became a crafting weekend.

Lunch Bags

I accidentally stumbled upon these lunch bags and couldn't resist firing up my Cricut to add to them.  I love that they a eco-friendly and made of organic cotton.

Mom's Kitchen Sign

I made this sign using my Cricut and used a new to me technique of layering colors for the sunflower.  It was a fun and quick project.

Gotta Have My Nip Jar

I'm really loving my Cricut and all the fun ideas that I create to go with it.  My cats were wild about this one.  They picked out the package right away containing catnip when it came in the house.  I literally had to hide it out of their reach and then filled the jars in the bathroom with the door locked.  I sprayed Lysol after filling them but they still knew it was in there by the expressions on both of their faces when I opened the door.  The jars are still intact and they haven't found the stash.  Yet.  I tried to have the Gotta Have My Nip as part of the design on the jar but the lettering was way too small.  Luckily I'm a crafter with lots of supplies.  I typed out the saying and ran it through the printer and then punched out the tags.  I added a red paw print.

Supplies ~

Cricut red permanent vinyl
3.4 oz jar with cork lid
Kraft paper
Jane's Doodles Cats At Play stamp

Seasoned With Love Salt & Pepper Shaker Holder

I saw this cute set of salt and pepper shakers in their adorable holder and knew I wanted to make something with my Cricut for it.  Since it's such a small set, I used a smaller font.  Not easy to pick off the excess vinyl but I do like how it turned out.

Craftables Permanent Red Vinyl

Jingle All The Way Shadow Box

I know...I know...it's not the season to be making a Christmas craft but I happened to run into these pretty bells and thought about what I could make with them.  I decided to use a shadow box to display them with a Cricut design.  It's really hard to take a picture of holographic material.

Supplies ~

Cricut - Holographic Sparkle Vinyl

Don't Mist Me Off Mister

I bought a Cricut Explore Air 2 with my first stimulus check.  I did the test and all was well.  I planned on making some Christmas gifts using it.  That didn't happen.  I had to wait until I had a dear friends birthday approaching fast before I decided what to create.  She's recently into succulent plants so I had to research and see if there was a gift that would go well for them.  Misters is what came up.  Oh there's so many with different shapes that unfortunately I had to rule out since this was my first solo project.  I found this mister on Amazon.  I tested it out, and it works awesome.  I had already created an expression to go with her (and my) sense of humor.  I think I picked the hardest vinyl material to work with but with the weeding tool and a few curse words, I got it to work.

Cricut - Silver Shimmer Vinyl
