Winter Poem card

I will admit that this sums up my feelings about winter perfectly.  Especially when the forecast is calling for more snow today.  I mixed a couple stamp companies to create this card.

Winter Gnome card

 

If the temperature is going to drop to 10 degrees, I guess I can make a winter card.  Too early for this cold but at least it's going to warm up some now.  Isn't this gnome adorable with its cup of hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps?  It's my gnome and that's what it's having to warm up.  With marshmallows, naturally.

Oh to be young and enjoy playing in the snow.  My parents used to bundle me up and sent me out to play.  I did love it.  Made many snowmen.  Wish I would have upped my game and made snow cats and snow bunnies.

Snow Much Fun card

 

Squirrels and I don't always get along.  I do feed my birds and they manage to do gymnastics to eat it.  They also like to do closeups on my Ring doorbell and knock a wolf figure off the front of my house.  So what better way to honor them than to make a card.  If they could make snowballs...they would.  I even have a squirrel with no tail.  Don't worry about him though, he also can make it to the bird feeder.

Love these Anita Jeram critters playing in the snow.  They are almost so cute that it makes me want to play in the snow.  Almost.  Not.  I cheated with the background and used some adorable paper from Lawn Fawn.

That truly is my favorite part about winter.  I'm with the snowman packing his suitcase and heading to a tropical location.  I even tried to color his suitcase the same color as the Samsonite set I got as a high school graduation gift.

Longing To See You card

Sometimes when you start coloring a card you have a favorite spot and a not so favorite.  I started off with the poinsettia (the plant itself, I waited a bit on the pot) and the last part was the curtains which I dreaded.  I ended up loving the curtains.  I just pulled out some never used Copics and went to work on them.  I wouldn't mind having them because they'd fit in perfectly with my colors in my home.  There are times at Christmas that when you look out the window, all you see is snow and you are not going anywhere.  I've celebrated Christmas early or a month late depending on the weather up here in the northern plains.

This polar bear sure looks warm and cozy in his sweater and scarf.  I colored the sweater to match one of my favorites that I wear from LL Bean.  Now I just need to crochet a scarf like his.  The sweet polar bear is from Impression Obsession.

Winter started way too early up here in the northern plains and when it doesn't seem like there's an end in sight.  We fill that time with humor and alcohol.  It warms you up.  I made this card for a friend to brighten his day.
