Happy Thanksgiving!  Although Thanksgiving definitely looks different this year by spending it alone due to Covid, I am still thankful for so many things.  One of those things is that I get to spend time making cards.  I find it so relaxing and rewarding knowing people are happy to receive them and purchase them from me to give to their loved ones.

Always Room For Pie card

I have quite a few favorite Thanksgiving stamp sets and this one from Newton's Nook is definitely one.  I wanted to make a dark gray cat since my very first cat, Puffball, was a dark gray and a terrific protector of the family property. Any cat or dog that tried to step foot on the property would be escorted off.  He knew where the property line stopped and he'd hop off the offender.

Gathering Acorns card

Fall is my favorite season and with that comes squirrels that are busy gathering food for the winter.  They are like me...if it's cold out, I want to be tucked away somewhere warm with good comfort food.  Since acorns and squirrels aren't very colorful, I gave him a Mike Didka sweater full of lots of colors.

There's Always Room For Pie card

Somehow we do always make room for pumpkin pie after a wonderful meal.  My mom makes a crust less pumpkin pie which I love.  I'm not really a crust fan so it's a win-win.  I chose a purple pie pan because it needed a pop of color and I actually have a purple pie pan.

Thanksgiving Wine card

Thanksgiving can be fun spending time with loved ones.  It can also be stressful with the timing on getting the perfect meal to all be done at the same time...no wonder the cook would need a glass of wine (or a bottle).  I was super happy I picked the blue for the plate.  It really gave the card a nice color contrast.

Cat With Cornucopia card

This might be my favorite Thanksgiving card that I've made.  I love using all the different colors plus there is grapes!  One of my favorite fruits.
